The Institute of Zen Therapy is currently revising arrangements for its longer term therapy training courses and is not currently running full certificate programmes. You can see details of one day and short courses by using the top menu "short courses"
If you are interested in persuing a longer term course of study please do make contact and talk to us. At present we are considering how best to meet the requirements for those wishing to follow a training through to a full therapy qualification. We hope to shape a programme based on current thinking in the field, drawing ideas from therapists already using the Buddhist psychology model, as well as from people who are passionate about the creative potentials in Buddhism and psychotherapy. IZT training will also be of interest to those who want to train in the model developed by Dharmavidya David Brazier and within the broad framework provided by his teaching originally presented in the book Zen Therapy (2001) Zen Therapy and The Feeling Buddha are now also available in Kindle format.
Studying Buddhist Psychology via the IZT Distance Learning Programme
This is a two year course of study incorporating David Braziers ideas and theories derived from Zen Therapy (2001) and other texts, providing a stand alone theoretical training in Buddhist Psychology. The course is presented by ITZI Instituto Terapia Zen Internacional and IZT. People wishing to follow the Distance Learning programme - which continues to be offered as an ongoing course of study - will be able to enrol from November each year. The course of study commences in January.
